MARK Tea Sorter

Machine overview

The MARK tea sorter uses optical sensors and RGB imaging to separate tea according to colour and visible defects. The brochure presents a two-chute, two-stage configuration, with the material inspected through staged sorting to produce an accepted stream and a rejection stream.

The camera system uses a 5400 × 3 pixel trichromatic RGB scanner and HD lenses. Image processing evaluates the input, while the operator interface provides controls for the sorting requirement. The equipment includes an output conveyor and a metal detector for identifying metal objects in the incoming material.

The published application examples include tea leaves, tea dust, green tea, henna leaves and herbal leaves. The brochure provides installation dimensions with the elevator and cabin dimensions without the elevator. These should be considered together with the feed arrangement, air supply and available headroom when planning the line.
